Soledad O'Brien takes on Allen West and Kicks her Butt!

Soledad O'Brien, the morning anchor on CNN challenged Congressman Allen West, an American Patriot (IMHO) this morning about Newt Gingrich's claim that Obama is the food stamp President.  Ms. O'Brien put up a graphic showing that food stamp recipients increased by 60% under George Bush from 2001 through 2008, while under President Obama food stamp recipients have only increased by 40%.  Of course her question was "is the criticism of the "chosen one"  fair, considering the facts about food stamps under President Bush?".

Well let's apply a little common sense test to CNN's premise that Bush was a bigger liberal than Obama, by doing some simple math!  A 60% increase in food stamp recipients over 8 years of the Bush administration is a average of 7.5% a year.  Under the "chosen one" food stamp recipients have grown 40% over 3 years, or an average of 13.33%.  So using Soledad's figures and doing a bit more math if Obama is gifted with another term (which is likely IMHO), then comparing apples to apples Obama's food stamp program will have grown, not 60% as Bushes did, but 106% over eight years.

Now I know that arguing this stupid point is like two drunks arguing over the bar bill on the Titanic, but I just hate the way the Integrity Free Media spins things to support the "chosen" one.
