Occam's Razor

Occam's Razor, when boiled down, implies that a simpler approach, which can be accomplished in the near term, is better than a complex, convoluted approach that may not work and if it does work may take decades or centuries to perfect and become useable and therefore economically viable.


To wit the absolutely stupid policy of the Obama Administration in restricting the drilling and production of fossil fuels in the US and throwing billions of taxpayer money into solar power and electric cars would be easily solved by applying Occam's Razor.


Occam's Razor would suggest that the following approach would be preferable:


First; Fire Obama, SLASH SPENDING, AND DRILL FOR OIL and continue to have economic growth funded by good old fashioned capitalism.


Second; Provide massive tax incentives for industry develop cost effective alternative fuels over the next 50 years.
