The Gaps In Obama's Life Story!

If you keep up with political current events, at the level of knowing most of the minutiae, you will remember that a tempest in a teapot brewed up about three months ago when it was discovered that Obama's literary agent had promoted a biographical blurb about Obama for some years that said he was born in Kenya.

In other words, the business agents for Obama, that SOLD OBAMA'S BOOKS ABOUT HIMSELF, averred that BHO was born in Kenya!

This means that the biggest, oldest birther, claiming Obama was foreign born, was his own literary agent WHO WORKED FOR HIM!  Instructed by him???

Here is a recent piece that revisits the issue, just to remind you that you can't make this stuff up.   If you or I said the same, we'd be smeared and labelled as racists or crazo "birthers."  

But if Obama or his hired agents do the same on Obama's behalf, from 1991 to 2007, what are they?  Deluded?  Liars?  Myth makers?  Who knows?  I guess they could explain it to us, if they were talking.

To summarize, much of the biographical material on Obama is unknown, or mythographic, or phantasmagoric.  

Big, unusual words have to be used to characterize the "facts" about Obama.  That may indicate that facts about him are "big and unusual."  Maybe the facts about him are not facts at all.  And, it seems, no one has ever gotten to the bottom of Obama's background--more myth, fable and supposition, rather than any well-reported, well-documented background:  the trip to Pakistan, high school and mentoring by Frank Marshall Davis, the undergraduate and graduate college grades and theses, various sealed documents that might reveal how he characterized himself on applications at earlier ages . . . all hidden and locked away.  He's a "lucky man" that the mainstream media helps keep all this hidden by not doing any digging, file invading or bribery to get at these files, like they did with Rick Perry's college grades, for instance.

Why would we accept having a president who is a cipher . . . a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma--either when we elected him the first time or at the time of being asked to do it again?  Do you know the original riddle-mystery-enigma quote?

Comments 31 The Left went apoplectic over Romney’s recent joke about birth certificates — perhaps a tit-for-tat shot across Obama’s bow for the prior week’s presidential evocation of the old story of Romney’s dog on top of Romney’s car.  But if pundits wish to be so angry at the birther joking, then they should go after the original birthers, who may have started the  myth — the literary agency Dystel & Goderich, which for over 16 years in their promo bio  listed Obama as Kenyan-born — 1991–2007 — without any apparent complaint or questioning by those who read it.  That fabrication was an odd thing to do for two reasons: One, authors are customarily asked to submit biographical information to their agents and publishers, and often periodically update and edit that information in catalogues, promo material, and booklets; and, two: The Kenyan-born reference disappeared  abruptly in 2007, without any explanation, right about the time that Senator Obama began his campaign for the presidency. Many have interpreted those strange events not as a simple “slip,” but as the lame fudging of either the agents, or the author, or both, to construct a suitably exotic birthplace for Obama that might emphasize the cross-cultural themes of his autobiography — a hypothesis strengthened by revelations that a great number of the key stories of Dreams from My Father were fictionalized, bearing little semblance to what actually happened. SENDER'S CONCLUSION:  THE FIRST BIRTHER, "HE'S A FOREIGN BORN FOREIGNER," . . . . PERHAPS OBAMA HIMSELF.

The Sad Irony of the Democratic Party and their Pathetic Lies

I find sad irony in the Mia Love situation . She is a black mayor in Utah who spoke at the Republican convention Tuesday night and brought the house down. There was an immediate ugly personal backlash directed at her from segments of the left. She was called Aunt Tom and many other very ugly epithets I will not repeat. She was not really harmed, quite the opposite, as she raised a great deal of money during the hours after she spoke, but the Democratic Party was harmed. The Dems act like they OWN black Americans, and any who dare to break from the “group think,” and speak against the ideology of Democratic Party are subjected to taunts and vile attempts at discrediting reputations. Slavery is a thing of the past in the Republican party!    The irony for me with these types of attacks on prominent independent  black citizens who identify with conservative issues and the Republican Party is that they represent an ugly form of slave mentality or mafia threat.  “If you leave our plantation we will take you down!”

For me, Freedom means never being fearful of thinking for yourself or speaking your mind.

 The Republican ideology embraces the American dream of self-reliant achievement while the left espouses victimization and the thought that only with government help can you advance. This point was driven home again by the early life stories of Condoleezza Rice and New Mexico governor Susanna Martinez and Mia Love.  These women have risen to positions in government which seem unlikely to many considering where they started.  They embody the American Dream! That American Dream has always been the Hope that motivated the citizens of this country,  and  motivated even those in countries where such possibilities do not exist.

Under the leadership of President Obama that American Dream has been tarnished.  Rather than instilling pride in this country, he publically disparages America and often does this while on foreign soil.  He makes us feel incompetent, constantly sending the message that we are dependent on Government to think for us and take care of us.  While  this may be enticing to those who have drunk the Victimization koolaid, it is contrary to the American Dream which motivated those who built this great country.  Instead of encouraging success for all, he uses achievement as a wedge to stir class hatred.

Kuddos to the parents of Mia Love, Susanna Martinez, and Condoleezza  Rice for instilling that American Dream in their young daughters so they could succeed against all odds to become role models for following generations.

Vote very carefully this November!

The Demonrats will have Islamic prayers at their convention, but they have turned away a Catholic Cardinal.  My wish:  I hope the Democrats get all the Islamic votes in America.  I hope the Republicans get the votes of all the Catholics in America.  Simple.  Nice. Deserved.

This is all nuts.  The Democrats have FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMED THEMSELVES, if not having completely Fundamentally Transformed America YET.  There is no traditional America or American tradition visible anywhere in the Democratic program or guiding themes..  People can shriek and caterwaul when this truth is said out loud, but the truth it is.

The host committee for the Democratic National Convention is raising a number of eyebrows after choosing to proceed with featuring Islamic “Jumah” prayers for two hours on the Friday of its convention, though Democrats earlier denied a Catholic cardinal’s request to say a prayer at the same event.

President Obama's Twitter account has 18.8 million followers -- but more than half of them really don't exist, according to reports.

A new Web tool has determined that 70% of Obama's crowd includes "fake followers," The New York Timesreports in a story about how Twitter followers can be purchased.

"The practice has become so widespread that StatusPeople, a social media management company in London, released a Web tool last month called the Fake Follower Check that it says can ascertain how many fake followers you and your friends have," the Times reports.

Obama regulators have been punishing U.S. business in violation of the law and beyond what Congress intended. Tuesday's ruling proves their point and underscores how much more damaging the EPA could be without re-election restraint in a second Obama term.

The court's decision states it plainly: "Absent a claim of constitutional authority (and there is none here), executive agencies may exercise only the authority conferred by statute, and agencies may not transgress statutory limits on that authority." [THIS IS A PITHY AND SUBTLE RESTATEMENT OF THE RULE OF LAW UNDER THE U.S. CONSTITUTION:  AGENCIES CANNOT EXCEED THEIR CONGRESSIONALLY AUTHORIZED POWERS.  WHO KNEW??? (not Obama)]

The message is that regulators must follow the laws of the United States. Why do federal judges constantly have to remind EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson of this basic principle?

Liberals contend that there is no Voter Fraud!

As Reagan commented, "It's not that liberals don't know a lot, it's just that so much of what they know is wrong."

So lets examine two recent visible and documented examples of voter fraud for our liberal friends to comment on!  

STORY #1: PHILLY

In 2004, John Kerry edged out George W. Bush by only 150,000 votes out of 5.7 million cast. Kerry’s victory was built on an enormous margin in Philadelphia, where he won 81 percent of the vote, giving him an edge of 412,000 votes. Republicans have long suspected that voter fraud regularly occurs in Philadelphia. In the 1990s, a Philadelphia election that determined control of the state senate was thrown out by a federal judge because of massive fraud.

Last month, City Commissioner Al Schmidt, a Republican, issued a 27-page report on irregularities he found in a sample of Philadelphia precincts during this year’s primary. The report, which looked at only 1 percent of the city’s 1,687 districts, found cases of double voting, voter impersonation, and voting by non-citizens, as well as 23 people who were not registered to vote but nonetheless voted. Schmidt also found reports of people who were counted as voting in the wrong party’s primary.

“We did not set out to quantify the magnitude of voting irregularities that occurred, but rather to analyze them in detail,” his report stated. “Nevertheless, we identified hundreds of cases of voting irregularities [in select precincts] that warrant further investigation.”

STORY #2: THE  MINNESOTA SENATE ELECTION

 [won by a literal clown, Al Franken, by 312 votes--after eight months of re-counting and lawyering]

 There were a lot of irregularities in that race, where a blizzard of magically appearing Franken ballots [always Democrat votes] put the old notion of squeaky-clean Minnesota elections to rest forever.  But one specific data point has become inarguable, thanks to the work of authors John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky: the number of outright illegal votes cast by felons in the election far exceeds Franken’s margin of victory.

To date, 1,099 felon votes have been identified, and 177 people have actually been convicted of voting illegally, with 66 more awaiting trial.  This is all the more remarkable because a simple claim of ignorance is good enough to avoid conviction – as York puts it, “the accused can get off by claiming not to have known they did anything wrong.

But we are to believe, if we listen to the liberals, there simply is no voter fraud in America.

Are you happy that Food Stamps are being used for sweets, steaks, chips and non-essential foods?

Well a local business person has drawn the line and is is trouble for it!  I know that is a shock to all you who frequent here, but listen to the businesswomen who is looking out for the taxpayers!

“I don’t think American taxpayers should be footing the bill for people’s pie purchases,” said Andrea Taber, proprietor of the Ever So Humble Pie Co. in Walpole, who peddles her wares at the Braintree market on Fridays and now finds herself in the middle of the state’s raging fight over welfare benefits.

“To me it’s no different than nail salons and Lottery tickets,” Taber said. “It’s pastry, it’s dessert. My pies are great, but come on.”

But sadly local officials are in an outrage over this citizen taking this stand and she is in jeopardy of losing her ability to market her pies at the Braintree Farmers Market.  Read the story whole story here!

What a colossal joke the food stamp program has become.  Another good intentioned government program intended to help people through tough times has become a "right" with no restrictions on how the recipients spend other peoples money.
